Ph.D. Students Receive Recognitions
During spring 2024, Brenna and Christina were recognized for their outstanding contributions at Virginia Tech.
Brenna Knight received a Graduate School Doctoral Assistantship Award in Chemistry. She has taken on a challenging, impactful, and highly multidisciplinary project that focuses on the structure-property relationships of polysaccharide (PS) to understand how they influence Calcium Carbonate crystallization.
Christina received the Teaching Excellence Award from the Department of Chemistry for her outstanding contributions to the teaching mission at Virginia Tech. Christina has demonstrated remarkable dedication and leadership in helping undergraduates to master chemistry concepts as well as supporting and mentoring entering graduate students to becoming effective Teaching Assistants.
